Streetwear drops with Beats By Dre

 

Beats By Dre collaborates with well-known streetwear brands to create a limited amount of custom edition headphones or “drops” that are sold to the public. My team and I were tasked with designing story pages that would allow people to learn about and purchase these drops. The stories cover the inspirations behind the design, information on the release, and paths to purchase the drop.

Engaging content

Each story had to be informative while keeping the attention of a younger streetwear audience. Instead of long body paragraphs, we used a mix of short copy, big visuals, and promo videos to tell the story. We also integrated an Apple Music player when a curated playlist was available.

 

Direct buyability

We integrated a sticky buy bar so people could shop the drop while reading through the story. Because there is limited space once the bar scales down to mobile, we had to prioritize the elements within. We decided the drop name, price, and CTA were the most important.

 
 
 
 

Multichannels

We used email to send short snippets of the story to our subscribers and used social media to invite people to read the story on the website.
